Isle of Man Netball Climbs Five Places in World Rankings

We’re thrilled to share some fantastic news - we’ve just climbed FIVE places in the World Netball Rankings!

The Isle of Man now sits at 31st in the world, and we couldn’t be prouder!

The latest rankings update, published by World Netball on 5 June 2025, includes all international results from 1 March to 1 June 2025 - and thanks to our team’s hard work and determination, three victories from our last five international matches helped us make one of the biggest moves in the global rankings table.

A Milestone for Isle of Man Netball

This five-place rise is a reflection of the growth, ambition, and commitment that exists within Isle of Man Netball. Every player, coach, volunteer, and supporter has played a vital part in our journey.

President of Isle of Man Netball, Pip Cross, commented:
"This is an incredible milestone for Isle of Man Netball and a testament to the hard work, commitment, and passion shown by our players, coaching staff, and volunteers. Climbing five places in the world rankings is no small achievement, and it reflects the progress we are making both on and off the court."

International Netball Shifts

While the Isle of Man saw a positive move, other nations experienced mixed results. France dropped from 31st to 39th after a difficult run of matches, while teams like Northern Ireland and Gibraltar improved their ratings but held steady in their current positions.

These changes allowed other teams, including St Kitts and Nevis, Hong Kong, and Malta, to edge up the table - while the Cayman Islands slipped slightly, despite not playing any matches in this period.

Looking Ahead

This achievement boosts our confidence and fuels our determination to continue growing netball on the Island and competing at the highest level. We remain committed to developing young talent, supporting our elite athletes, and representing the Isle of Man with pride on the world stage.
