Step up and make a difference: volunteers urgently needed for these key positions. 

Financial Administrator - volunteer role

Key responsibilities: 

  • Be a bank signatory and make bank payments after receiving approval from the appropriate Director or seeking approval as necessary.
  • Enter payment and necessary documentation into QB Online
  • Be available to assist Performance Team Managers with necessary bookings for events and travel.
  • To review and Isle of Man Netball generated invoices (QB and membership system) and chase and query when necessary
  • Liaise with Membership to ensure processing of annual membership dues runs smoothly and resolve any issues
  • Provide weekly CSV bank download to Bookkeeper
  • Manage card details held by suppliers for auto payments (updating schedule and changing on expiry)
  • Ensure domain name renewal is actioned
  • Ensure insurance renewal is paid and all necessary documentation is filed on Google Suites
  • Create and issue performance invoices on QB online
  • Be responsible for management of Google Drive and emails
  • Provide cover for Bookkeeper

Person specification:

  • Good attention to detail and organisational skills, together with a commitment to delivering high-quality work
  • Good communication skills with all members
  • Willingness to commit to the role for a minimum of three years due to bank signatory requirements 

Skills, Abilities and Knowledge:

  • Administration and basic bookkeeping experience
  • Knowledge or willingness to learn QB Online
  • Knowledge or willingness to learn Google Workspace
  • Knowledge or Willingness to learn Microsoft Office Suite
  • Able to give approximately 4 hours per week to the role

Bookkeeper - volunteer role

Key responsibilities: 

  • Upload bank transactions into QB online – via CSV download from bank accounts
  • Carry out weekly bank reconciliations on QB online for the two active bank accounts
  • Investigate all unknown items and request all necessary information
  • Provide update via email to Head of Finance and any other Head of issues and concerns on a weekly basis
  • Update Cashflow forecast and highlight any concerns
  • On a monthly basis split Google Suite invoice between areas and journal accordingly
  • At least weekly, check diary and ensure all jobs are done
  • Be responsible for management of Google Drive and emails
  • Provide cover for Financial Administrator

Person specification:

  • Good attention to detail and organisational skills, together with a commitment to delivering high-quality work
  • Willingness to learn and to ask questions

Skills, Abilities and Knowledge:

  • Some knowledge of bookkeeping
  • Have a basic understanding of a cashflow forecast
  • Knowledge or willingness to learn QB Online
  • Knowledge or willingness to learn Google Workspace
  • Knowledge or willingness to learn Microsoft Office Suite
  • Able to give approximately 4 hours per week to the role
